It’s BG Pride weekend and AND spooky season!
SOKY Alliance is hosting its 3rd Annual Spooky Pride Prom for LGBTQ+ young folx and allies ages 13+ from 7-10pm on Friday, October 23, at Molotov Skateshop.
There will be music and concessions, plus a costume contest and prizes!
Come dressed in costume, dressed in your finest prom attire, or dressed exactly as you are. Tickets are $10 per person. Link to purchase tickets coming soon!
SPOOKY PRIDE PROM FAQ & GUIDELINES
Other than having fun, here are some important FAQs and guidelines:
Are there any age-related requirements?
-This is an event geared toward the younger crowd ages 13+ to have a safe, sober, fun space for BG Pride weekend. All of our under 18 folks, please be prepared to sign in with an emergency contact number.
Can I leave and come back?
-For safety reasons, once you’re in, you’re in. And once you’re out, you’re out. No readmittance.
What should I wear?
-Costumes are encouraged! But if yours covers your face, please prepare to put that on AFTER you are checked in. We need to see your face first for check-in.
You can also wear your snazziest prom attire or your everyday clothes. Come as you are!
What about *enter substance here*?
-This is a completely substance-free event, throughout the whole property indoors and outdoors. Yes, that means your vape. No smoking/vaping/drinking/drugs/etc. allowed. Period.
I don’t feel great, but I really want to come. What do I do?
-If you aren’t feeling well, please consider staying home to take care of yourself and also others who will be present.
Who do I ask if I need help?
-If you have any issues during the event, our volunteers will be wearing yellow volunteer lanyards, so seek them out!
Can I purchase my ticket at the door?
-Yes! If you bring cash, please bring the exact amount as we’ll have limited cash for change. You can also pay via Venmo or with a card.
